Based in Lydd, Kent, U.K. I am a maker of fine quality hand-crafted early musical instruments of the medieval, renaissance and baroque periods, and celebrated 25 years of luthiery in 2014. Using only the best quality materials, all instruments are made to the highest standards of construction and finishing with particular attention devoted to set-up and playability; and are enjoyed by amateur and professional musicians in many countries around the world. Over the years I have had work featured in books; have written (by invitation) editorial on aspects of luthiery and instrument history for online and paper magazines; have exhibited work at shows such as the Edinburgh Harp Festival and the Greenwich International Early Music Festival in the UK, as well as others in Europe ― Utrecht, Bruges, Salzburg; and have given talks/lectures at such different locations as primary schools and the University of London.
