I am a glass artist and I make cast glass sculptures. My main source of inspiration is Brutalist architecture, its use of modular building methods and its relationship with utopianism and the public sector. I am drawn to the abstract and geometric qualities of these buildings and these are the basis for the sculptural forms that I produce. Although glass is a difficult material to work with, I am excited by its optical nature, the reflections and refractions and its relationship with light.
