Full-Time Job Offer: Assistant Project Manager

Mad’in Europe is an expanding SME headquartered in Brussels, committed to championing European craftsmanship and heritage related professions. Our mission is to facilitate connections between professionals in fine and traditional crafts and European clientele. We not only aid craftspeople in adapting to the digital shift, fostering innovation, and passing down their expertise to future generations but also extend our support to restorers of heritage and architects specialized in safeguarding ancient buildings. Our activities include:

  • Identifying skilled craftspeople, restorers of cultural heritage, architects specialized in traditional building safeguard, as well as schools specializing in cultural heritage professions, and non-formal education opportunities across Europe, and gathering comprehensive data on their professions to raise public awareness.
  • Promoting these professionals and educational institutions through our portal Madineurope.eu, social media channels, and newsletters.
  • Collaborating closely with diverse European organizations in the crafts and Cultural Heritage sector to foster synergies and exchange best practices.
  • Spearheading the development of European projects funded by the European Commission, partnering with stakeholders from across the continent.
  • Curating and hosting workshops, webinars, and events aimed at fostering skill development, knowledge exchange, and networking opportunities within the sector.

About the Position

Mad’in Europe is offering a full-time position as an Assistant Projects Coordinator. This role is based in Brussels and requires in-person attendance. Working in our small company, you will collaborate closely with the Managing Director and take on office management and administrative tasks, which will constitute about 20% of your working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point of contact for European partners and for members of Mad’in Europe.
  • Participate in desk research and production of deliverables for European projects, currently including three Erasmus+ projects and one Horizon project.
  • Manage deadlines for deliverables and contribute to their dissemination strategy.
  • Write and translate (French/English/Italian/Spanish) articles, newsletters and other deliverables, including craftspeople interviews, training courses and contents for the website.
  • Assist in organizing international workshops, meetings, events, and webinars with partners, craftspeople, and European organizations.
  • Contribute to the overall development strategy of Mad’in Europe.
  • Administrating the Madineurope.eu portal

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Eager to grow, learn, and tackle challenges.
  • Proficient in writing and translating in both French and English. Spanish and/or Italian is a plus.
  • Proactive, independent, team player with a results-focused approach.
  • Creative and adept with digital tools (Google Analytics, social media, WordPress, Canva, Mailchimp, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Passionate about enhancing and transmitting European values and Cultural Heritage.
  • Experience with EU funding frameworks such as Horizon H2020, Creative Europe, and Erasmus+ is a plus.
