Created in 1908 by Ernest Charles who took over the Ullmann bronze works. The company has earned a reputation in the professional bronze art community for its reproductions of ancient lamps. 

Charles has been opening its doors to designers for many years. Arman, Christian Duc, Sylvain Dubuisson, Yves Sabourin, Yamo and Anne Léauté have all developed designs for Charles.
