Odile DARAMY, native to the Basque country, approached the illumination at the end of the seventies. She dedicates herself to it full-time for several years and deal of conferences on this art. Accomplishing reproductions of writings from VIth century till XVIth century or creations at request, she displays regularly in abbeys or in places of culture. At the same time, she performs researches on the history of art in order to approach always more near medieval methods and symbolism. Nowadays, she works on the realization of a book in entirely written in a decorative hand and illuminated parchment, a plan which should occupy her for 2 whole years. However, this supporter of medieval techniques does not ignore her time and chose to explain her art on an website.
