The Festival celebrates Architectura Picta [Quadraturism]- the art of illusory perspectives and architectural trompe l’oeil – gathering architects and decorative painters in the heart of Rome, for a four days immersive learning experience. Theoretical and practical workshops will take place in the awe inspiring Refectory of Andrea Pozzo, a large hall, completely frescoed by Pozzo in 1693, situated in Trinita’ dei Monti, the iconic church on top of Spanish Steps.
The Festival , scheduled to take place annually, constitutes an international network of Universities, Cultural Institutions and Foundations to promote access to this important heritage, fostering further research and training of young architects, scholars, artists and designers.
