The summer school in Westhoffen offers an immersive programme combining theory and practice in traditional architecture and crafts.
Participants will:
– attend lectures and discussions on architecture, urbanism, and aesthetics;
– develop hand-drawing skills through observation and measured drawings;
– take part in workshops with craftsmen to understand traditional building techniques;
– explore the local context through site visits and on-site studies;
– work on practical design exercises and projects.
The programme is based on learning by doing, combining drawing, making, and critical thinking, while engaging with historical architecture and its relevance today.
