The Duos in Résonances project aims to bring craftspeople and designers together to develop new ideas about skills, techniques, materials, and uses.
The Project : In 2026, five craftspeople and five designers will be selected following this call for applications. Applications must be submitted individually. The Selection Committee will then form five pairs.
For six months (from June to December), they will collaborate intermittently (respecting each other’s professional activities) on the development of a joint project or shared concept.
The goal is not specifically to produce a finished, marketable product, but rather to explore materials and techniques. This project emphasizes, above all, the sharing of experience, openness to new perspectives, and experimentation, all with the aim of developing one’s craft and skills.
Who can apply?
The call for applications is therefore addressed to two groups of individuals interested in working in an experimental and collaborative manner:
- craftspeople who can demonstrate highly specialized traditional skills;
- designers with an appreciation for and openness to the crafts.
A grant of €7,000 will be awarded to each pair.
