As part of the celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, the Transcultura programme—an initiative by UNESCO and the European Union—is preparing to conclude a dynamic chapter of cultural exchange, creativity and cooperation between the Caribbean and Europe.
Over the past five years, Transcultura: Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity has supported more than 2,700 young artists, creators and cultural professionals from 17 Caribbean countries, offering training opportunities, access to international networks, and support for entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative sectors.
Mad’in Europe is proud to announce that Madina Benvenuti will be speaking at the cultural closing event in Brussels, where she will share insights on the importance of craftsmanship, cultural heritage and intercultural dialogue in building sustainable creative economies.
