The LOEWE FOUNDATION is thrilled to announce the eighth edition of the Craft Prize, an esteemed international award that celebrates the most exceptional talent in contemporary craftsmanship. The prize is designed to recognize artisans who combine traditional techniques with cutting-edge innovation, creating works that stand out for their creativity, technical mastery, and artistic vision.
Submissions are open until 30th October 2024 via http://www.loewecraftprize.com. In January 2025, a panel of renowned experts will select up to 30 finalists from the global entries. These finalists will have their work featured in an exclusive exhibition, accompanied by a professionally curated catalogue that will highlight the most innovative pieces in modern craft.
The overall winner, to be announced in May 2025 at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum in Madrid, will be awarded a grand prize of 50,000 euros. In addition, Special Mentions will be awarded, each with a prize of 5,000 euros, recognizing outstanding contributions to the field.
