Our intent is to revive the roman micromosaic technique giving it the importance and value of its time, while maintaining high levels of quality. Our creations do not need to be altered by incorporating in them of precious stones, which instead alter and lessen the value of artistic product.
The addition of precious stones to adorn the micromosaic, seeks to hide the poor quality of the mosaic which becomes a complement of the manufactured object, losing the characteristic of a ’work of art that is unique in its kind’. It is like a painting of little pictorial quality inserted in a frame made of diamonds, to make it valuable at commercial level.
The Roman Minute Mosaic or Micromosaic reinterpreted in a contemporary taste and applied, using the original technique, for the production of precious objects, contemporary works and modern jewelry.
Evolution of Roman mosaic minutes technique and its exploitation in contemporary art.
