Introduction to basket weaving (Inclusive class)

Workshop led by Sonia Leukona

15 years of experience in both craftsmanship and teaching.

Helping to keep the tradition of esparto basketry alive in the Málaga region.

No previous experience required.

Learn how to sew a basic basket using braided esparto strips (pleitas).

Hemp thread and specialised craft needles will be used.

Materials included.

The number of instructors will depend on the number of participants and whether additional teaching support is required.

Duration: 10 hours divided over 2 consecutive days.
