SABEL Saddlery & Leather Design

Presentazione

Bespoke Leather Design For Horse, Human, Home After a successful career in theatre, brand, design and marketing, Mia Sabel left the City and trained to become a saddler. A Queen Elizabeth ScholarshipTrust (QEST) Scholarship enabled her to expand on this training and augment her range of skills, products and services. As SABEL Saddlery she now combines traditional saddlery techniques with high-quality materials to create both classic and contemporary, off-the-shelf, personalised and bespoke leather products. A background in design gives Mia, now a Qualified Saddler, the insight to develop innovative products for both business clients and consumers. Mia has designed her own range of hand-made leather products that embrace tradition, quality and usability. Her signature items include the ladies’ evening Stirrup Bag, made to measure watch straps, bespoke fob watch cases, a modular range of stationary detailed with vintage brace elastic closures, as well as her own moulded iPhone case. SABEL Saddlery also offers consultancy, prototyping and small batch production services to help clients design, develop and launch their own products. Current commissions include two ranges of men’s luxury accessories for French and American clients, and a luxury pet accessories brand for a UK client. Specialising in hand-made, hand-stitched and hand-finished items produced in Britain, she is passionate about creating works of leather excellence that will last a lifetime. Her work has been showcased by Fortnum & Mason, Holland & Holland, Buckingham Palace and at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
