Historical construction techniques

Dating the masonry of a historic monument remains a major concern in built archaeology. While well-known methods such as dendrochronology and construction account analysis exist, nothing compares to a chronology provided by the stones themselves, particularly through the techniques of stone cutting.

This training course presents various methods and techniques for analyzing a stone construction and archaeological stone artifacts.
