Retreat.01: Esparto Grass and Wool
This autumn, OBRA Retreat begins in collaboration with Sonia Lekuona | Studio de Esparto. Esparto grass has been part of the Andalusian landscape for centuries. It is also part of its crafts, its architecture, and its way of inhabiting the land.
For four days, we will gather in Montecorto, a small village in the Ronda Mountains, Andalusia, to explore esparto and wool through contemporary craft practices, surrounded by a landscape where materials, architecture and local traditions remain deeply connected.
This is not an intensive workshop, nor a creative holiday.
It is a temporary studio rooted in place.
