The Mostra Internazionale dell’Artigianato of Florence (MIDA) is an annual fair dedicated to craftsmanship, held at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence.
Founded in 1931, it was the first artisan fair-market in Italy, and over time has managed to evolve while balancing tradition, innovation, and international exchange.
Each edition brings together hundreds of artisans and companies from Italy and many foreign countries to exhibit unique creations: ceramics, textiles, jewelry, furniture, clothing, accessories, both traditional techniques and modern experimental designs.
Beyond the exhibition stands, MIDA presents hands-on workshops, guided tours of the Fortezza, musical events, performances, and activities for children — inviting the public to an immersive journey through skilled hands, materials, and artisan stories.
The event is promoted by Firenze Fiera, in cooperation with institutions, trade associations and organizations that support the craftsmanship sector
