The Colors of Darkness is the 2025 edition of Journey Through Ceramics, an international competition and exhibition that explores the power of ceramic art and craft as a universal language of memory, resistance, and hope. Through works that blend tradition with innovation, this year’s theme reflects on the emotional aftermath of war, the beauty born from darkness, and the human yearning for peace and coexistence.
Hosted in Vietri sul Mare, a historic center of Italian ceramic tradition, the exhibition invites national and international craftspeople to share their artistic visions through vibrant, introspective, and socially engaged ceramic creations.
From December 4, 2025, to February 4, 2026, selected artworks will be showcased in a curated space that celebrates cultural diversity, resilience, and the profound emotional resonance of handmade ceramic art.
