Born in Transylvania, Romania, Georgia is a graduate of the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism Ion Mincu, Bucharest, where she received a MArch (Hons) in Architecture, followed by a MSc in Sustainable Heritage at The Bartlett / UCL, London. She is an accredited Conservation RIBA Chartered Architect (CA), a Guardian of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings and stands as an advisor in the INTBAU Communication Committee and as the Education and Projects Manager of INTBAU Romania.

Georgia runs her own practice, specialising in conservation architecture and interior design in Listed or in Conservation Area Buildings. She also acts as the Events Coordinator of the TAG, Traditional Architecture Group, host to INTBAU UK, where she organises the TAG Talks, monthly online lectures promoting outstanding Traditional Architecture and New Urban Design projects, hands-on workshops and other educational activities for the members. She was also invited in various Jury commissions, assessing the students’ exam works for the Notre Dame School of

Architecture, Rome Gateway, TAG Awards or the 2024 Prix Européen d’Architecture Philippe Rotthier.

Passionate about traditional building techniques and craftsmanship and their continuous relevance in the present, she advocates for a better cross-collaboration between the fields of Conservation and New Traditional Building. Supporting the common core values of building and preserving Beautiful Places, she endorses the Traditional New Built environment’s increased usage of highly skilled craftsmen trained in the Heritage field, also as a means of perpetuating the heritage crafts and regeneration of endangered traditional building practices. She also believes that the knowledge embedded in the old buildings can stand as a viable model of sustainability, an active tool for inspiring new traditional architecture.

Née en Transylvanie, Roumanie, Georgia est diplômée de l’Institut d’Architecture et d’Urbanisme Ion Mincu de Bucarest, où elle a obtenu un Master en Architecture (mention Très Bien), suivi d’un Master en Patrimoine Durable à The Bartlett / UCL, Londres. Elle est une architecte agréée en conservation et membre de la RIBA (CA), une gardienne de la Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings et siège comme conseillère au comité de communication d’INTBAU et comme responsable de l’éducation et des projets d’INTBAU Roumanie.

Georgia dirige son propre cabinet, spécialisé dans l’architecture de conservation et le design d’intérieur dans les bâtiments classés ou situés dans des zones de conservation. Elle agit également en tant que coordinatrice des événements du TAG, Traditional Architecture Group, hôte d’INTBAU UK, où elle organise les TAG Talks, des conférences en ligne mensuelles promouvant des projets exceptionnels d’architecture traditionnelle et de nouveau design urbain, des ateliers pratiques et autres activités éducatives pour les membres. Passionnée par les techniques de construction traditionnelles et l’artisanat et leur pertinence continue dans le présent, elle plaide pour une meilleure collaboration entre les domaines de la conservation et du bâtiment traditionnel nouveau. En soutenant les valeurs fondamentales communes de construire et de préserver des lieux magnifiques, elle prône l’utilisation accrue de l’environnement bâti traditionnel nouveau par des artisans hautement qualifiés formés dans le domaine du patrimoine, également comme moyen de perpétuer les métiers du patrimoine et de régénérer les pratiques de construction traditionnelles en danger. Elle est également convaincue que les connaissances intégrées dans les anciens bâtiments peuvent constituer un modèle viable de durabilité, un outil actif pour inspirer la nouvelle architecture traditionnelle.

Appassionata di tecniche di costruzione tradizionali e artigianato e della loro continua rilevanza nel presente, sostiene una migliore collaborazione incrociata tra i campi della Conservazione e della Nuova Costruzione Tradizionale. Supportando i valori fondamentali comuni di costruire e preservare Luoghi Belli, promuove l’uso aumentato dell’ambiente costruito Tradizionale Nuovo da artigiani altamente qualificati formati nel campo del patrimonio, anche come mezzo per perpetuare gli artigianati patrimoniali e rigenerare le pratiche edilizie tradizionali a rischio. Crede anche che la conoscenza incorporata negli edifici antichi possa fungere da modello di sostenibilità praticabile, uno strumento attivo per ispirare la nuova architettura tradizionale.
