2-year course: CAP in glass arts and techniques (glass decorator)

From training to applied research, Cerfav is the best guarantee for workshops and for the apprentices themselves. What’s more, unlike a course given in a general school or CFA, the apprentices at Cerfav are at the heart of the glass industry.

Training objectives

-Master the technical gestures.
-Understand the rules of the art and the basics of glass technology.
-Discover the main historical and contemporary artistic trends.
-Learn to work as part of a team.

Targeted activities :
The glass decorator completes and trims the edges of a piece. They can modify a shape by bending or hot thermoforming, engrave or roughen a surface, decorate a piece by transferring paint, gilding or enamel by hand, by spraying or printing mechanically or by adding chemical reagents. They know how to assemble parts by gluing.
