HERITAGE SECRETS

EDUCATIONAL OFFER FOR ADULTS TEACHERS, SCHOOL LEAVERS AND HERITAGE MEDIATORS – COMBINED PACKAGES

For a full day, children can go behind the scenes of history at two exceptional heritage sites, the Château de Jehay and the Abbey de la Paix-Dieu, where particular attention is paid to heritage trades and the restoration of the site’s church. There will also be an introductory workshop. At Jehay, children can discover the castle restoration worksite and what lies beneath the paintwork. With site visits and educational tools on both sites, the themes of art and history are approached from a completely new angle.

Types of activities :  
– Visit two exceptional restoration sites
– Discover the skills and tools of a heritage trade

Trainers : two educational facilitators from La Paix-Dieu and Jehay Castle

Public : children from 3rd primary 3 to 1st secondary

Duration : 1 day: 1⁄2 day at the Paix-Dieu and 1⁄2 day at the Château de Jehay. 45 min. walk between the two sites.
