Spinning training

Join us for an 8-hour workshop on wool spinning (no prior experience required).
The program covers sorting a sheep’s fleece and fiber preparation, carding, an introduction to and practice of drop-spindle spinning (creating both standard and novelty yarns), and plying yarn using both a drop spindle and a spinning wheel.

You will leave with a collection of samples and a small ball of yarn—depending on how much patience you have!

The workshop takes place on Thursdays, October 1 and 15, and November 5 and 19, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at 48 Rue Armand Campenhout, 1050 Ixelles.

Price: €150 per person (maximum of 6 participants). The fee includes the use of equipment and the wool. You can also purchase an additional kit on-site—containing a turned-wood spindle and carded wool—to continue practicing at home.
