The Bruges Summer School of Architecture & Crafts 2025 is a unique educational experience designed to explore vernacular architecture and traditional crafts in one of Europe’s most iconic historical centers. Over two weeks, participants will combine theory and practice through lectures, workshops, drawing sessions, and guided visits, using the city of Bruges as their main classroom.
The program covers topics such as Gothic geometry, the history of carpentry, and the evolution of urbanism and Gothic architecture. Attendees will have the chance to observe, measure, and draw historic architectural elements, as well as engage in hands-on workshops on stone carving, masonry, and ceramic ornamentation.
