-Exploring materials (rattan, seagrass, rye straw)

-Introduction to tools

-Creating a traditional rattan weave on a practice frame

-Making a small sea grass-thatched stool

After three years of training as a wicker and thatch craftsman, Loic Ravaux now works as a restorer of wicker and thatched furniture.
He works at the Villeneuve d’Ascq Open-Air Museum as a resident artisan.
