Since 2021, the DIVA Museum has invited creators, artists, and designers to join its annual artist in residence program. For 2025, the museum is offering four residents the opportunity to work for three months in a fully equipped studio at the DIVA atelier, located in Anvers. Selected residents will have access to the museum’s collection, a specialized library, and will participate in a final exhibition from February 26 to March 29, 2026.
Residents will receive reimbursement for travel and accommodation expenses up to €1,500, and a production budget of up to €1,500. They will have daily access to the atelier from 8 AM to 9 PM, with facilities suitable for jewelry designers and silversmiths.
During the residency, artists will engage with the public and other professionals through talks and workshops. They are expected to collaborate on a joint exhibition and participate in at least one museum talk. Applications must be submitted by March 30, 2025, at 5:00 PM and should include a portfolio, a motivation letter, and a project proposal. Selection criteria are based on the feasibility of the project, its connection with the museum’s collection, and its impact on the artist’s development.
The autumn 2025 program will focus on the Lunden Collection, a 50-year donation from Pierre Lunden, featuring silver from the Southern Netherlands of the 18th century and some objects from the 17th century. Projects aligned with this program will be given preference.
