I am a handweaver working on traditional woodframed looms creating fabrics which are meant to be used, to be worn, handled and feel comfortable against the skin. I use only natural fibres such as silk and wool that work with the body to provide warmth and tactile reassurance. All work is done by hand in the studio, from the initial winding of the warp, through to the hand finishing. Combining classic style with bold colours, my scarves were described by an article in Selvedge Magazine as allowing the wearer to ‘reconnect with a lost sense of Englishness’.
