ADULT TEACHERS, BACCALAUREATE HOLDERS AND HERITAGE MEDIATORS
Duration: 1 to 4 days (residential or non-residential*)
This module enables students to learn about heritage through a theoretical and practical approach. Based on the concepts of heritage and restoration, students follow a tailor-made course, designed especially for them around a particular material, skill, know-how, question or project. All activities are modular and can be adapted to specific requirements.
Subjects covered: heritage, architecture, restoration and reuse, building materials, heritage trades, active discovery of the site, history of the site, archaeology of the built environment, materials and trades, etc.
Types of activities: workshop work (cement-rockwork, slate roofing, copperware, carpentry, decorative painting, stonemasonry, stained glass, masonry, dry stone construction, sgraffito, blacksmithing, carpentry, mosaics), heritage discovery, guided tours, documentary research, etc.
Target group: students from universities, colleges of higher education, academies and art schools, from departments of education, architecture and interior design, humanities and social sciences, philosophy and literature. Number of participants: 5 minimum.
*70-bed accommodation, with catering facilities, is available for classes taking part in activities over several days, allowing them to get to grips with the site and the learning process.
