On January 24th, we celebrated the International Day of Education, a reminder of how learning shapes the future of crafts. At Mad’in Europe, we take this opportunity to highlight the role of education in preserving and transmitting traditional skills. Whether through formal training in craft schools and heritage institutions or non-formal learning with master artisans, education ensures that craftsmanship remains a living and evolving practice. This month, we showcase diverse training opportunities that bring traditional skills to new generations, from woodworking and metal engraving to bookbinding and glass artistry. By fostering learning and knowledge exchange, we strengthen the future of European craftsmanship and support the artisans and professionals who keep these traditions alive.
